I'm so glad you asked.
This would be the back-up carboy that saved the day back in November. And why is it sitting in our pickup, ready to be hauled off to the dump? Because this Alaskan chick has been away from home too long and didn't think to point out to the hubby that a carboy filled with water (for cleaning purposes) will indeed freeze solid, and subsequently shatter, when it sits out for days in sub-freezing temperatures.
Who knew, right?!
So if anyone is keeping track, thats one brew in the books and two carboys down. I wasn't a math major like my hubby, but I'm pretty sure that is one bummer of a ratio.
